Specifically, they showed up on Tuesday, installed the new compressor on Wednesday, removed the defective valve in the attic (not an easy job with our outdated ductwork) on Thursday and installed the OVERNIGHTED special order replacement valve on Friday. Comments: 2020, whew! COVID, lockdowns... and for me, a catastrophic failure of our home heating boiler, and breaking just before a CT cold spell was going to hit. Mike's technician visited for attempted repair, promptly as he had said they would, and unfortunate for me, this was not a repair, but I needed to get a new boiler. So, after agreeing to what model was best for my home (natural gas, combi-boiler replacement-in-kind but different manufacturer - I went with Mike's recommendation), his team came in the following day early, as promised, and completed the removal of old and installation of new boiler that same day. Mike's technician doing the work was professional, friendly and courteous, answered the questions I had and cleaned up proper after all the work was done. If there were more than 5 stars available, I would give them for this job, and i'm very grateful for his superquick response to both my initial call and to getting the installation of the new boiler done in what was essentially a next day order. I had called other service providers and it seemed like I wasn't the only New England customer with boiler problems, other providers couldn't make it out to the house until 3, 4 days after I called. Comments: OUTSTANDING in every WAY! Steve replied with a phone call within five minutes of my inquiry on this site! He sent someone over at 930 PM who was PROMPT and professional. His name is JOE. Not only well dressed in company logo garb, but quiet as he could be with my sleeping children. He was FAST and thankfully found a giant clog 40 feet out and not all the way to the main line, and not frozen. Joe also discussed with me some ways to maintain the drains with monthly flushes and cleanings. He cleaned up his gear, equipment and the like and left without a trace. I have received 6 other calls with firms who were matched to my emergency back up. But they weren't as responsive as Steve and Joe. An emergency is an emergency. You can't buy peace of mind. But you can call Atomic day or night: worth every penny!

After discussing my options with other plumbers and doing my own research, I decided to go with the Navien CH-240 tankless combi-boiler. Mike and his team were punctual arriving onsite and flexible about arranging dates and times. On the price, Mike was honest enough to tell me about the CT rebate and agreed to share the discount with me - something he didn't have to do. He also took care of removing my old oil tank, boiler and furnace and did a great job at patching and cleaning up the mess. Comments: Mike's plumbing came to location within 24 hours, identified the problem and fixed it. He told us there could be a leak and filled up the freon level so the a/c unit would not trip. He explained that it is difficult to find the leak given the piping was covered by a gutter and if it did happen again that they could plug the leak -- he did not do it this time around was because it could impact warranty and said this fill of freon could last. The unit was cooling. So I would recommend Mike's Plumbing. I had previously used Glenbrook Heating & AC from Stamford and they mis-diagnosed problem.
